The Nightmare Trio

My contest entry for for October's theme: Villans.

Pitch Black has turned the two friends into fearlings to serve him in his Dark Army.

Dark Angel is his loyal lieutenant and commander of his Dark Army--and his very first adult mortal fearling (Pitch created fearlings with children). Pitch chose her due to her strong leadership skills, her cunning military strategy, her cold demeanor and her need to dominate with the use of fear. Dark Angel also goes by the name of the Banshee.

Bitter, cruel, irascible and sadistic, Dark Angel has a violent and unstable temper due to the fearling inside her is old and brings strong feelings of anger. She has a very low tolerance for weakness and frustration. Dark Angel is jealous of Pitch's affections towards Jokul.

While Pitch and Jokul enjoy bringing fear to children, Dark Angel prefers adults since they are not only a challenge for her, but she knows that their nightmares and fears are more darker and disturbing. She has similar abilities as Pitch; when fueled with her rage, she can create very powerful nightmares and fears. Dark Angel also uses the black sand to create negative feelings--bitterness, cruelty, jealousy, vengeance and uncontrollable rage. She enjoys watching mortals fight among themselves.
Sometimes, but rarely she will use the Banshee Wail--a bloodcurdling loud piercing scream that is excruciatingly painful to mortal and spirits' hearing. The more angry she is, the powerful her scream is.

Pitch and Dark Angel often have a professional relationship, but often it is stormy due to her stubbornness, arrogance and temper. He does care for his Lieutenant since he has known her since her childhood--a lonely Army brat who longed for a father since her own shut her out.

Dark Angel's Nightmare is Oiche (which means 'night' in Irish Gaelic)

Jokul Frosti is the Prince of Nightmares, chosen by Pitch first. After the Easter was destroyed by Pitch's Nightmares while Jack was distracted by the Nightmare King with the use of his memories, the Guardians were disappointed in him and turned their backs on him. Hurt, Jack fled to Antarctica, planning on staying there so he could never mess up again. Pitch offered Jack a chance to join him so that children would believe in him. Though reluctant at first, Jack decided he had enough of being unseen and pushed around, he accepted Pitch's deal. After his creation, he chose a new name for himself--Jokul Frosti.

Aside from creating nightmares and control of dark sand, Jokul can create black ice--with a combination of black sand and ice, he creates feelings of paranoia with his snowballs. His pranks are more cruel, creating bitter winters and dangerous ice patches. Jokul can use his staff to not only control the winter and black sand, but also he can turn it into a scythe if he wishes.

Jokul likes to provoke the Dark Lieutenant's anger out of amusement. It is often said that Jokul and Dark Angel act like children when they fight--much to Pitch's annoyance. Though they don't like each other, they do show mutual respect for one another.
